CIBIC AND PARTNERS
Cibic & Partners was born in Milan at the end of the 80’s and for 15 years has been operating all over the world : it’s a composite reality that by choice and vocation manages projects of a different nature, from interior decoration, to design and multimedia. Cibic & Partners is headed by 4 partners : Aldo Cibic represents the designing unit together with Luigi Marchetti, Chuck Felton and Antonella Spiezio. To them dedicated teams are linked to special projects. They are supported by a group of Architects, Interior Designers, Graphic Designers, Industrial Designers and by a large network of outside co-workers with different cultural and professional backgrounds. The result is an environment with a vibrant exchange of stimulus energies, aiming to create a solid and innovative project, such as the architectonic renovation and the interior decoration, together with Consonni Contract, of the Una Hotel in Milan, the first design hotel in Italy. Cibic & Partners’s task has been to propose an art direction capable of managing the different services, that such a Hotel can offer, in a warm and friendly atmosphere in order to transfer a lighthearted and novel feeling to the clients. The leading thread of the office’s work has been the use of soft shades and simplicity of the environment to offer to the Una Hotels’s clients, cozy, peaceful and discreet spaces. Maybe the most significant element inside this project and typical in all works by Cibic & Partners, has been the use of a wide choice of materials, strongly emotional, which represents the fine line between “public” and “private”.
